Income for Work At Home Moms

Ruth Ann Leech, Melbourne, FL

teaching about income for work at home moms  Welcome to my site! In the next few minutes you might spend with me, I         hope to honestly answer the questions you might have about a solid work at  home income.

I’ll promise you no hype or baloney.

I’m also not a professional ad writer or web site designer, so if this tends to ramble, please understand. This is just "me", mom to mom, woman to woman. If you can work with that, let’s get started.

We all have our own reasons for preferring to work from home, and we could probably chat all day about them, but you are busy so we won’t go into that right now. We’re probably both on the same page when it comes to what it accomplishes. The fact that you are here at this site tells me you have SOME interest.

I guess the next thing might be to touch briefly on the two basic types of work from home. One type is where you have a defined job and probably a boss. You essentially have a task or set of tasks to do and you are paid some kind of fixed arrangement for that. Very likely you are paid by the hour, or possibly "piece" if you process or make something. You may have some company paid benefits which could range from reimbursement of certain expenses to even some health benefits paid by your employer. In the end, if you have a job, and by implication, an employer, you are being paid what the job is worth, not what you are worth. That employer is going to make some money over and above what they are paying you. The upside of this for you is that you know if you do "X" amount of work, you in the end are going to be paid "X" amount of dollars, assuming you do the work you agreed to . That could be anything from making a certain amount of phone calls; stuffing a given amount of envelopes, or selling a certain dollar amount of product, subscriptions or whatever. Do the work and be associated with a reputable company and the money is a fairly sure thing.

The other type of work from home is where you are an independent business owner. You may make your own product or "service", or you may have a product provided for you for resale, with the "how", "when", "how much", etc. is all up to you. You have virtually no guarantees other than you’ll earn the difference between the cost of the product to you and what you can sell it for. On the plus side, you have no bosses; no quotas, no fixed locations, and no limitiations. The biggest plus is you are going to keep ALL of the profits, and you’ll probably make much more money, with much more flexibility and freedom than you’d have in a job. The cost to you is the "risk".

Not all people are of the personality makeups to be their own bosses and take these risks.

Even those willing to do so and having the personality for this may not be in a position to do so. You may have some fixed expenses and you simply MUST have an income you can pretty well count on, and possibly things like medical insurance. We understand that. We just want you to do that up front.

The other difference is that in a business, and as part of your risk YOU will have certain business expenses. When you think about that, it’s pretty obvious. If you were thinking about a business outside the home, certainly you’d understand that. You’d have to have a place to do business. So you have some rent. You’d need basic utilities.. electric, water, phone, so you’d have those expenses. You’d need office supplies, furnishings.. a desk, maybe a file cabinet. And you’d need whatever it takes to get your product. The wholesale costs.

What we are going to introduce you to is an earnings in a home based business. You need to understand this before going farther.

We’ll talk about the various types of business in a moment, but before going farther, understand that in any business you are going to have some startup and on going expenses. This will involve an investment on your part where a job won’t. If you are only looking for a job, then let me thank you for reading this far and politely say it’s ok to sign off now. Maybe bookmark and come back later when you are more suited for a business, but right now, if it’s not for you, that’s ok.

Types of Homebased Business and Some Things to Look At.

One of the things that’s going to be a "constant" regardless of your business is TIME. You are only going to have so many hours to devote per day, week, month or whatever. So would it make the most sense to earn the largest possible amount you can for the time unit (let’s say hour) you invest? Certainly.

Let’s think in terms of your business producing or selling something. There’s literally hundreds of things you can sell for low income or profit.. maybe $5, $10, or even $50.

There’s others that for the same time you can sell or market for $500 or $1000 income.

The common perception is that you can much more easily sell the ones making the low profit. Let me tell you right now, in no uncertain terms, that when you have a quality product or service in a market that is viable and growing, it takes no more work, time, or effort to sell the product that makes you the large income. If that is so, what should your obvious choices be? Sure! It’s a "no brainer". The business we’d like to share with you and train you in IS considered "high ticket/high profit", however, it’s again no more difficult to present and sell because of the value than a low ticket item.. and low profit. We make a minimum of $1000 every time someone says "yes". And by the way, that’s all legitimate and very easy. In  fact, what we do has become careers for moms, particulary  busy moms.

working from home mom with kidsAnother very common item we hear is, "I don’t like (or want) to sell". EVERY Business, and almost everything we do concerns "selling", but "selling" in this business sense to so many means finding someone then convincing them to spend dollars maybe they were not planning on, or even have available, to buy something that they either don’t want, or at least didn’t think they wanted until you came along. Hey folks, I’d agree that this is not only hard, but probably carries a lot of rejection, and that is hard for a whole lot of us to take. We can academically know that the "prospect" is not rejecting US personally, but the product or service we are offering. That doesn’t make it a whole lot easier, and certainly as we know we just spent some time and have nothing to show for it except maybe experience, that’s not very rewarding.

So, an ideal business (or even sales job) would be one where you don’t have much selling. You might say then, "Ruth Ann, if there’s not selling, how do we make any money?" The answer comes in knowing the difference between MARKETING and SELLING. Marketing is getting the name of your company or product out there and doing to that it reaches the people that are looking for what you have. They are pre-disposed to buy what you have. Your main job is MARKETING... finding these people and helping them find you. Then as they do, differentiating yourself from the options so that your product or service stands out as the best value. This is educating, teaching.. and yes.. Marketing. That’s what we do. This business is known as some as "moms travel business" and that sort of gives you a hint where we are going (pardon the pun!).

I guess the last question would have to be then, as you look at your options, is "Is this business in a declining, flat, or growing market, and does it have enough size to support one more participant (ME!)? The answer is it's definitely a growing business with the trend being   toward 23% growth a year, and the market is currently in excess of $6 Billion

Now, at this time, we’ve given you a nice background. All the experts tell me that most internet people are very short on time they want to spend at any site.. and this site passes most of the "time to read" design criteria anyway, so we’re not going to say more except this:

If you are in agreement and understanding you may want a business and not a job working for someone else, and you are in agreement that making the most money possible makes the most sense to you; if you are open and willing to be trained by experts in a very growing industry, then we’d like to talk with you. See if what we have is a "fit" for you. The way to start the process so we can talk is simply to complete the form below and we’ll take it from there.

See you at the top, and hope this has helped.
